About “Brad Hock”

“Ad hoc” is a Latin phrase (its literal meaning, “for this,” doesn’t help much) which refers to an entity not part of an existing system, but something set up in response to a specific situation that has arisen. An “ad hoc”  committee, for example, is typically created just “for” some particular “this” (often a new occurrence). And “hock”– an English word synonymous with the verb “pawn” — is also a Yiddish word equivalent to the English verb “nag”.  And my name is Brad. So here you’ve got Brad, complaining (mostly*) about various situations or events, new or old. (*Some positive posts may slip by.)
